		IDR is seeking a Business and Functional Analyst to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting complex state projects related to public assistance programs within the public sector, focusing on system analysis, requirements gathering, and project collaboration. The position offers the chance to work on impactful government initiatives remotely within the PST time zone.
Position Overview for the Business and Functional Analyst:
- Lead the planning, analysis, and development of business, functional, and non-functional system requirements for new application development and system enhancements.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of public assistance programs (cash, food, and medical) to ensure system alignment with federal and state policies.
- Gather and analyze details related to core business processes, data requirements, business rules, and external system interfaces.
- Assess current system functionality and analyze the impact of requested changes in alignment with business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and related artifacts that accurately define system needs.
Requirements for the Business and Functional Analyst:
- Expert knowledge of public assistance programs (cash, food, and medical) - 5+ years
- Proven success managing projects using industry-standard project management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).
- Experience gathering, developing, and documenting business and functional requirements for large-scale systems.
- Ability to analyze system functionality and identify operational gaps or improvement opportunities.
