IDR is seeking a Data Architect to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Berkeley, NJ Or Coral Springs, FL. The position requires a senior-level professional with extensive experience in data architecture and a strong technical background.
Position Overview for the Data Architect:
- Architect scalable, secure, high-performance data solutions for fraud detection and risk management.
- Design end-to-end data architectures across ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, lineage, and consumption layers.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and PySpark.
- Handle high-scale structured and semi-structured datasets, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Partner with data scientists to prepare training datasets, support feature engineering, and operationalize ML models.
Requirements for the Data Architect:
- 10+ years of overall experience in data engineering/data platforms/data architecture.
- Prior experience in a formal Data Architect / Solutions Architect / Platform Architect role (architect title required).
- Strong Azure data platform experience (Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs, Functions, Key Vault).
- Strong Databricks + Spark/PySpark; able to discuss and implement patterns hands-on.
- Experience with data governance, lineage, security, and quality controls in enterprise environments.
