IDR is seeking a Desktop Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role involves supporting enterprise-level desktop and application deployment efforts, focusing on creating standardized Windows environments and streamlining application packaging processes.

Position Overview for the Desktop Engineer:

• Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining standardized Windows desktop environments across the enterprise.
• Oversees image creation, application packaging, and software deployment using SCCM and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
• Manages patching, updates, and automates processes through PowerShell scripting.
• Collaborates with infrastructure and support teams to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
• Ensures stability, security, and compliance through diligent management of operating systems and endpoint security tools.

Requirements for the Desktop Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience with SCCM/MECM, including task sequencing, application packaging, and OS deployment
• Proficiency in Windows OS environments (Windows 10/11), Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation
• Experience with endpoint security tools and compliance frameworks
• Excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills
