		IDR is seeking a Desktop Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role involves supporting enterprise-level desktop and application deployment efforts, focusing on creating standardized Windows environments and streamlining application packaging processes.
Position Overview for the Desktop Engineer:
- Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining standardized Windows desktop environments across the enterprise.
- Oversees image creation, application packaging, and software deployment using SCCM and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Manages patching, updates, and automates processes through PowerShell scripting.
- Collaborates with infrastructure and support teams to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
- Ensures stability, security, and compliance through diligent management of operating systems and endpoint security tools.
Requirements for the Desktop Engineer:
- 5+ years of experience with SCCM/MECM, including task sequencing, application packaging, and OS deployment
- Proficiency in Windows OS environments (Windows 10/11), Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation
- Experience with endpoint security tools and compliance frameworks
- Excellent documentation and troubleshooting skills
