IDR is seeking a Functional & Automation Tester to join one of our top clients for a REMOTE opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone experienced in software testing within government or complex application environments, with a focus on automation and manual testing.

Position Overview for the Functional & Automation Tester:

• Conduct functional testing for state government projects, ensuring application standards and requirements are met
• Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts using tools like Selenium with AI assistance
• Analyze design documentation, user stories, and requirements to create comprehensive test cases
• Identify, document, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle, collaborating with development teams as needed
• Support multiple testing phases including system, integration, and regression testing in fast-paced environments

Requirements for the Functional & Automation Tester:

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Tester or in a similar role, preferably in the US State government sector
• Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile, and waterfall development frameworks
• Working knowledge of test management software such as JIRA or JAMA
• Ability to create detailed test scripts based on design documents and user stories
• Experience with API testing using Postman and writing SQL queries for database validations
