IDR is seeking a Functional Manager – AI & Data Modernization to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Salem, OR so must be local or willing to drive to Salem!
This role supports a major cloud data modernization initiative within the public sector, specifically focusing on behavioral health reporting and analytics. The organization is committed to leveraging innovative data platforms to improve statewide health and human services through modern cloud solutions.
Position Overview for the Functional Manager – AI & Data Modernization:
- Serve as Functional Manager and Deputy Project Manager for a large-scale cloud data modernization program.
- Lead a cross-functional team of 10–15 resources across data engineering, testing, functional, infrastructure, and security workstreams.
- Drive delivery across the full SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, UAT, and production support.
- Facilitate workshops with business, technical, and executive stakeholders to gather requirements and drive solution alignment.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, staffing, risks, and executive status reporting.
- Oversee key project deliverables, including project plans, technical documentation, RTMs, test plans, training materials, and status reports.
- Support development of Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions while promoting data governance and AI-enabled delivery practices.
Requirements for the Functional Manager – AI & Data Modernization:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience supporting State Government, Health & Human Services, Medicaid, or Behavioral Health programs.
- PMP Certification required.
- Experience leading enterprise cloud modernization or data transformation initiatives.
- Proven success managing cross-functional teams and complex government projects.
