IDR is seeking a IT Security Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Arlington, Texas. This role supports cybersecurity initiatives across both traditional IT and Operation Technology (OT) environments, including ICS and SCADA systems, within a critical infrastructure setting. The company is committed to protecting essential systems and ensuring security resilience.
Position Overview for the IT Security Engineer:
- Support cybersecurity initiatives across IT and OT environments, including ICS and SCADA systems.
- Contribute to threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and develop security playbooks.
- Work closely with teams to enhance security measures and respond to security incidents.
- Provide expertise in critical infrastructure security best practices.
- Collaborate on security solutions for complex operational environments.
Requirements for the IT Security Engineer:
- 2+ years in cybersecurity roles focused on critical infrastructure.
- 1+ years of experience with ICS/SCADA or other OT environments.
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Elastic Stack & Splunk.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python and/or PowerShell.
- Experience with EDR/XDR tools (SentinelOne preferred) and vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, OpenVAS).
