IDR is seeking a Lead Network Consultant to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing scalable network systems within an enterprise or carrier environment. The organization specializes in advanced networking solutions, emphasizing protocol standards and strategic network upgrades, serving clients across various industries nationwide.
Position Overview for the Lead Network Consultant:
- Design and engineer effective and scalable network systems and solutions
- Participate in evaluation, testing, selection, and deployment of foundational network elements for a network buildout
- Ensure solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices, and assist in their development
- Effectively communicate engineering solutions through detailed diagrams and documentation
- Research, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues in a fast-paced environment
Requirements for the Lead Network Consultant:
- 15+ years of professional experience in large enterprise or carrier space
- Professional networking certifications a plus (i.e., CCNP/CCIE or equivalent)
- Experience with Cisco within the data center network portfolio
- Arista and Juniper skills would be nice to have
- Previous consulting experience required
