Position Overview & Responsibilities for the Network Administrator:
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues for a large LAN/WAN architecture across 100 county-wide sites
- Support user devices (PCs, VoIP, printers, card readers, etc.) including troubleshooting DHCP, DNS, VLAN, and VPN
- Support cloud workloads such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and perform basic operations in VMWare, vSphere, Hyper-V, etc.
- Monitor for malicious network activity and support physical security infrastructure
- Perform cable verification for network patching, and coordinate with low-voltage cabling vendors for installations and terminations
- Use SalesForce & TeamDynamix for ticket handling and workflow organization
Required Skills for the Network Administrator:
- 2-4 years of professional experience in a NOC or enterprise IT operations environment
- Familiarity with ITIL-based incidents, problems, and change management
- Experience with at least 1 scripting/configuration tool (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python)
- Preferred certifications: Networking (CCNA, CompTIA Network+), Systems (RHCSA, MCSA, VMWare VCP), Cloud (AWS Certified, Azure Fundamentals), Security (CompTIA Security+)
