IDR is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Stockbridge, GA. This role involves supporting and maintaining network infrastructure for a healthcare-related organization, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity. The company values technical expertise and proactive network management to keep systems operational.
Position Overview for the Network Engineer:
- Assist with support to network infrastructure initiatives including preventative maintenance, configuration back-ups, capacity planning, network redundancy, and disaster recovery.
- Provide basic network administration and assist with complex network administration tasks.
- Monitor network infrastructure with some guidance to ensure optimal performance.
- Update network documentation, including written records and network diagrams.
- Perform installations of new facilities and monitor equipment levels as needed.
Requirements for the Network Engineer:
- Two (2) years of work experience including hands-on knowledge of the installation, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco networking equipment. (If no degree, a total of six (6) years of experience required.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field required, or four (4) years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
- Certifications – Cisco Certified Network Analyst (CCNA) is required. Two additional years of progressive work experience may replace the certificate requirement.
- Ability to assist with network support, troubleshooting, and documentation efforts.
- Willingness to support on-call duties and occasional onsite travel across the Atlanta area.
