IDR is seeking a Network Engineer III to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure in a large healthcare environment. It offers a chance for professional growth with exposure to advanced Cisco and Palo Alto technologies.
Position Overview for the Network Engineer III:
- Designs, implements, and maintains secure campus-wide network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and WAN-connected sites.
- Provides expertise in network security, capacity planning, and technology evaluation.
- Mentors junior engineers and ensures compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinates with cross-functional teams and participates in on-call rotations and network change windows.
- Utilizes knowledge of BGP, Cisco ACI, and other networking protocols and equipment.
Requirements for the Network Engineer III:
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- 8+ years of professional IT experience since graduation w/ Bachelors
- 3+ years of experience with BGP
- Recent hands-on experience with Cisco environment (9500s or 9300s)
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
