IDR is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves leading payroll tax functions within SAP payroll system, coordinating with external tax teams, and ensuring compliance with payroll tax filings and notices. The company operates within the energy industry, providing services that require precise payroll tax management and collaboration across teams.
Position Overview for the Payroll Tax Analyst:
- Lead NRG’s payroll tax function in SAP payroll system and coordinate with ADP tax team
- Work with NRG employee group to resolve tax questions and concerns
- Collaborate with NRG payroll team to process tax withholdings weekly within SAP payroll
- Monitor and verify all tax filings and notices prepared by ADP, ensuring timely resolution
- Partner with IT to test changes related to tax rates and calculations within NRG’s payroll system
Requirements for the Payroll Tax Analyst:
- 3+ years of current payroll experience on an ERP platform (particularly SAP in a multi-state payroll tax environment)
- Strong knowledge of payroll and payroll taxes (federal and multi-state/local)
- Bachelor's degree
- Good understanding of payroll tax filings, recons, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working with ADP Smart Compliance is a plus
