Join our team as a Product Sales Leader!
This is a hybrid role being onsite in Maple Plain, MN on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The Product Sales Leader (PSL) is a key position in the Protolabs sales organization. The PSL is a knowledge leader for the assigned Protolabs service line and a key member of the Go-To-Market team (GTM) team. The PSL works directly with the sales team and sales partners to understand our customers, how they use our services, how we drive customer value across our factory and network services. They work with the product and marketing organizations to develop and execute Go-To-Market strategies that will drive growth through service line development and promotion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with sales leadership and customers to capture customer requirements, value drivers, and differentiation across service lines.
- Consolidate requirements by customer type and vertical to inform product/service enhancements and new capabilities.
- Translate complex projects into repeatable offerings for assigned service line(s).
- Partner with Product and Marketing to define and execute GTM plans which includes positioning, packaging, pricing, launch plans, offers, and industry-specific collateral to drive growth, acquisition, and retention.
- Partner with sales enablement to develop and deliver training, playbooks, webinars, KPIs, dashboards, and sales stories, and case studies to increase sales adoption and ability to sell service-line value.
- Monitor customer and competitor trends and use insights to inform roadmap, marketing, and GTM decisions.
- Develop and maintain service-line forecasts and revenue projections with Sales, Product, Marketing, PSL, and other stakeholders, with emphasis on large accounts and production deal flow.
- Create and implement strategies to expand market share and revenue across the services lines.
- Ensure service line performance meets targets by establishing and managing the AMER GTM operating cadence with clear metrics, governance, and accountability.
- Occasional travel up to 25%.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales, product, marketing or customer-facing role.
- Experience with sales analytics and use of metrics to drive performance.
- High technical aptitude and understanding of the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of professionals
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to present in person and over the phone
- Ability to develop and deliver training and development programs for sales teams
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience working with sales teams to develop strategies and plans to improve performance and grow the business.
- Experience working with marketing and product teams to develop go-to-market plans and strategies.
- Knowledge of injection molding manufacturing processes or similar technical expertise.

Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
