IDR is seeking a QA Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role involves testing and quality assurance within a technology-focused environment, supporting complex software applications and ensuring operational efficiency.
Position Overview for the QA Engineer:
- Coordinates and/or performs work on programming projects including those that are highly complex in nature and/or large in scale.
- Coordinates and/or writes test plans and test data.
- Writes complex software code and debugs software.
- Analyzes proposed applications for software regression suites.
- Analyzes, reviews, and revises software to increase operating efficiency or to adapt new procedures.
Requirements for the QA Engineer:
- Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
- Experience in prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios.
- Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments.
- Experience in performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and software development methodologies.
