IDR is seeking a QA Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role involves working in a dynamic environment focused on database applications and software testing. The company operates within the technology and software development industry, emphasizing quality assurance and data integrity.
Position Overview for the QA Engineer:
- Design and execute test plans and test cases for database applications.
- Perform functional, performance, and regression testing on various databases.
- Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing.
- Work with development and database administration teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts for database testing.
Requirements for the QA Engineer:
- Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run database testing functions automatically.
- Experience in prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans.
- Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments.
- Performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and methodologies.
