IDR is seeking a Senior Reimbursement Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in San Diego, CA. This role offers the chance to work within a leading healthcare organization in a highly regulated environment, focusing on complex reimbursement and regulatory reporting processes.
Position Overview for the Senior Reimbursement Analyst:
- Prepare, analyze, and validate complex regulatory reports and cost filings required by Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, and other federal and state agencies.
- Manage and review Medicare Cost Reports (CMS-2552-10), including handling audit follow-ups and appeals.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HCAI (formerly OSHPD) annual reporting, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement methodologies, and program regulations.
- Provide financial impact analyses on regulatory changes, legislation, and reimbursement updates with multi-year projections for system and affiliate leaders.
- Support managed care negotiations by supplying reimbursement modeling, trending analyses, and regulatory insights to influence payer strategies.
Requirements for the Senior Reimbursement Analyst:
- Direct, recent experience preparing and filing HCAI (OSHPD) reports for large or multi-facility healthcare organizations.
- Demonstrated experience preparing Medicare Cost Reports (e.g., CMS-2552-10), including worksheets, supporting schedules, audit follow-up, and appeals.
- Strong knowledge of CMS reimbursement principles, Medi-Cal reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance and translate it into financial impact models.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with finance teams, external auditors, and third-party consultants during contractual reviews and audits.
