IDR is seeking a 2nd Shift Test Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Suwanee, Georgia. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in HVAC installation and repair, focusing on laboratory testing of HVAC products within a manufacturing or engineering environment. The company specializes in developing and testing commercial and residential HVAC equipment, emphasizing stability and regular hours without on-call requirements.
Position Overview for the Test Technician:
- Conduct laboratory tests on commercial and residential Mitsubishi HVAC products to support product engineering.
- Prepare and modify testing equipment and units as directed by the engineering team.
- Use mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills to set up and maintain testing chambers and related equipment.
- Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and troubleshooting to ensure testing accuracy.
- Maintain documentation of testing activities and ensure equipment functionality and safety.
Requirements for the Test Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of technical school or other post-secondary training required.
- 1+ years of HVAC installation and repair experience required.
- Brazing skills required.
- EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification required.
